Activities:
1. Read this text about Jack's town in the past and now. You can listen to the audio if you want in the link above. Then, complete these sentences using there is/there are/there was/there were.
A. Yesterday, ........ a good exhibition at the Eastcastle Museum.
B. In 1964 .... 19,000 people living in the town, but now ...... 40,000.
C. In 1964 .... a big football stadium. but now .... shopping centre.
D. Before .... a police station, but now, ... a theatre.
C. In Jack's town ... lots of activities to do.
2. Look at this picture (page 29, activity 3). Write sentences depending on the town you choose, GreenVille or Avonbrigde
Example: In Greenville, there were two hotels and one post office.
Do these activities in a piece of paper to take them to school.
